Location

A Natural Branch of Learning is an outdoor learning program located on 180 acres of mixed habitat forest between the Sioux and Onion Rivers on northern Wisconsin's Bayfield Peninsula. A pond, streams, springs, and a cedar swamp attract wildlife and provide places for a variety of delicate ferns and flowers to grow amidst clumps of moss and stands of lichen-covered trees. There is a sunny meadow in the middle of the forest, a remnant of a farmer’s bean field. Nestled in this magical place, unique play sites and trails encourage children's unstructured active play and learning.

ANBL is located at 80765 State Highway 13, 4.5 miles north of Washburn
and 7 miles south of Bayfield on the Bayfield Peninsula.
